Today we’re going to begin a video series of the top or the most frequently asked questions we received from potential sellers throughout 2019, which will hopefully answer anybody’s questions in 2020. So today’s topic is going to be the overall process, from start to finish. We’re going to go over that pretty quickly.
But before we dive into that, I just want to go over a couple of quick things. Number one, I want to thank you for being here and spending a couple of minutes out of your day with us. All right, so without any further ado, let’s jump into the overall process. And again, I’m going to cover the basics fairly quickly because it’s really simple. Okay? So number one, it starts with a conversation between you and us, you as the seller and us as the home buyer. You’ve either reached out to us from one of our online platforms, whether that’s social media, Facebook, Instagram, or you found us online at our website. Or maybe you even received a postcard, who knows, or a letter in the mail. There are many, many ways in which we’re trying to help and reach out to potential homeowners that maybe could benefit from our services. So that’s the first part, so we’ve gotten some sort of communication.
The next part is going to be a phone conversation where after you’ve reached out to us, someone from our team is going to spend some time on the telephone with you and we’re going to get to know you a little bit better and if we’re going to be a good fit for you. And how are we going to determine that? Well, we’re going to ask you a group of specific questions, and we ask the same questions to everyone. Right? We want to know what your situation is, what you’re looking to accomplish, how soon are you looking to accomplish this? Why do you want to do this? Those types of things. After we get through the list of questioning, then we’re going to determine whether or not we can help you. And yes, we’re going to be able to determine that if you’re giving us accurate information pretty closely over the telephone.
If we are a good fit, we’re going to move onto step number two, where we’re going to set up a call and an appointment time where someone from our team can come out and meet you at your property. Once there, we’ll even further dive in to make sure that what you’ve given us over the telephone lines up. Then we’re going to want to do a quick tour of the property with you. If it’s vacant, if you have a lockbox on there, that’s fine too. We can certainly go over there and take a look at ourselves.
But after that, it’s really now getting down to business. Okay? You’ve kind of told us where you want to be. We have an idea of price point or what strategy we’re going to be going with. Are we going to be buying this for all cash, are we going to be doing a creative terms deal? Maybe where we’re going to pay you on a monthly basis over the course of a certain fixed term. Whatever it means, we’re going to make sure that all that information is lining up, and then we’re going to dive in and really customize an offer and see if it’s something that’s going to work for you. We’re going to present to you a couple of different ways in which we can help you. If one of those works, great. If nothing works, that’s okay too. We don’t buy every property that we go look at; we don’t expect to.
If you’re looking just for an offer or testing the market, that’s okay. We understand. We get a lot of those phone calls. Even if we can’t be your solution, we’re going to do everything we can to get you in line with the right people. Maybe someone else we think can better serve you. Okay? That’s what you can get from us. We’re going to do our best to buy the property. Right? And if not a fit, then we’re going to push that out to somebody else whom we think can better serve you.
